Essential Oils

Recently I was introduced to essential oils and can not believe that I didn’t know more about them earlier! They are very versatile and irreplaceable in some cases. For example, a couple weeks ago I felt mastitis coming on, and I started panicking because I did not want to have to take antibiotics. I was feeling absolutely awful and was feeding my baby as much as I could, hoping that the clog and infection would just take care of itself. Twenty four hours later I was feeling worse and had a low grade fever so I called my midwife, Sherri, in hopes that she would have some magical remedy to share with me…and she did! Sherri is very familiar with essential oils and she told me to capsulate some essential oils that I had on hand. I took them internally as well as applied them directly to the sore area. Within 24 hours my fever was gone as well as my aches. I was still sore but I could tell that the infection was healing and the clog was gone.

What are essential oils?
-Essential oils are the volatile liquids that are distilled from plants.
-They are the regenerating, oxygenating, and immune defense properties of plants.
-Essential oils are so small in molecular size that they can quickly penetrate the skin.
-Are very powerful antioxidants and prevent mutations, work as free radical scavengers, prevent fungus and prevent oxidation of cells
-They are antibacterial, anticancer, anti-fungal, anti-infectious, antimicrobial, anti-tumor, anti-parasitic, antiviral, and antiseptic.
-and much more!!

It is very important to find certified pure therapeutic-grade essential oils. Anything less may not produce the desired result and can, in some cases, be extremely toxic.
